Nursing is designed to develop an attitude in the students, provide necessary knowledge and skills to recognise and intelligently interpret the physical, mental and emotional manifestation of illness and prepare them to plan individual nursing care based on their unique needs.
The programmes also help develop abilities to work with other specialist medical and paramedical personnel, devise and demonstrate disease prevention and health promotion programmes, integrate principles of hygiene, ethical and moral codes are aspects taught in the programme. On a higher scale, tools to research, apply advances in scientific field and technology are built in Nursing Caring services in both public and private sectors including day care, health care and residential care, Nursery, Primary Schools, Family Centres, Hospitals, Voluntary sectors, Corporate houses, Resorts, Retreats, the opportunities are limitless on a global scale. As India emerges as the health-care tourism destination, employment opportunities to professional nurses, only abound in future.
Course Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility for Admission
Pass in B.Sc Nursing Basic / B.Sc Honours in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing / Post Certificate B.Sc Nursing or equivalent with minimum 55% in aggregate marks. Candicates should have been registered in State Nursing Council as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife and must have minimum of One Year working experience. Candicates should not have attained the age of 45 years on the last day fixed for submission of application to PG Degree Entrance Test to be conducted by the RGUHS.
